The Sona Group has engineering and manufacturing capabilities in the areas of design, machining and assembly, precision forging, cold & hot forging and heat treatment. It has quality systems and processes in place. The competitive advantage lies in the areas of “appropriate” and “frugal” engineering. The learning organization – with Kaizens, Cross Functional Teams & Pokayokes – work collectively. The objective is cost efficiencies and delivery of value to customers.
The Sona Group is planning to diversify into other industries by leveraging its core competencies and knowledge of light engineering in metal and steel. We see possible synergies in design and manufacturing of components and (sub) assemblies for a variety of industrial and other applications where there are stringent quality requirements. The Sona Group could be as a tier 2 or 3 supplier to larger engineering firms/ OEM’s/ industrial & non-industrial applications. The group is also capable and willing to invest/raise capital in both new and existing areas that provide the potential for long and mutually beneficial partnerships. We are open to varying degrees of equity and management control. Our abilities in project management, cost effective supply chain management and our history of long-term partnerships provide additional leverage.
